Occam's razor makes no mention of probability or reason, but only of simplicity. There may be other principles which justify a belief without solid evidence, but it is not Occam's razor.

The simplest explanation is that the probabilistic studies are contradicted by the lack of evidence for a reason. The simplest reason is that there are no exo-technologies.
