"...do not recall ever having said that Plame was NOT undercover, only that the evidence at the time was that she had ceased that status." You stated: "That seems inconsistent to me." If you see something incnsistent in these two statements, you must be using a very strong microscope, or parsing words with the skill of a PhD lexicographer. Both statements convey the same idea, even if I did not vet them through the filter of linguistic precision. Any inconsistency is incidental, not substantive. This is pretty much what I meant when I said that you interpret the statements of liberals by the most forgiving standard, and seek to cast everything conservative in the darkest, most sinister interpretation available. I have not used a double standard for judging liberals and conservatives. I look at specific issues and principles, not at parties and personalities. It's hard for me to imagine you having anything good to say about GWBush, or anything negative about (for example) John Kerry, unless you had to grunt out the words just to prove you can force yourself to do it. I have, in my lifetime, made many changes in my personal and political outlook, running the gamut from Catholic altar boy, to liberal agnostic evolutionist, to Southern Baptist. I can still change, because I am not emotionally invested in any ideology, but only in a desire to know the truth. Your history of posts on this forum lead me to believe that you see the world darkly through a lens. I hope you can eventually see yourself in a new light, and moderate your visceral hatred of people who disagree with you.
