The acceptance of trans people varies widely across the country. However, once one gets to personally know transgender folks their opinion usually changes, if they had objections before. This is your situation. You're making judgments without getting to know some trans folks. You'd rather trust a few articles you've read and your version of morality than get to know these special people. Sad.

Perhaps the public will get to accept transsexual surgery, but that has not happened yet, and there is no guarantee that it ever will.
