Posted by Bob on 7/31/2007, 7:43 am, in reply to "Re: Correcting the Record on Valerie Plame" My position is simply one of asking questions. I am by no means a Bush or Cheney loyalist, not by any stretch of the imagination. I am of the belief that had Nixon died in prison, Clinton would have never tried half the crap he did, and GWBush would tread much more carefully in his actions. So would Cheney. But if you are trying to portray my questions about the Plame affair as some sort of support for Bush/Cheney, then you are simply the captive of leftist propaganda, just as you claim that I am unduly influenced by rightist propaganda. You seem overly eager to believe all the claims made by Plame and Wilson. I have no dog in this fight, no admiration for any degree of "cover-up," disgust with Cheney's abandonment of libby, disdain for Libby himself if he obstructed, and skepticism about Wilson's political motives, as well as for Plame's lack of due diligence in protecting her covert status when red flags were all over the place. As additional facts come out, I stand completely ready to praise or condemn any actions by any of the parties involved, as the evidence may dictate. I cannot imagine you, WHATEVER future facts may emerge, saying anything apologetic to anyone in the administration. Forgive me if I am unfair in that assessment.

I do not recall ever having said that Plame was NOT undercover, only that the evidence at the time was that she had ceased that status--- as well that evidence SHOULD be if she were yet undercover. But you are characterizing my position as if I had some inner contact with the list of covert agents. I'm sure that if that were the case, I would be dead by now.
