If he rejects it on scientific grounds, and can make a coherent case for his rejection, I doubt he'd be denied entry into advanced programs. Much the same as whether a given homosexual would be a good parent, huh? Or whether a given transsexual should be allowed to continue working as a city manager? Or whether a given atheist would make a good president? And on and on.![]()

The question of whether a student with strong religious beliefs would be deterred from doing good science by his beliefs, is a matter for interview and case-by-case evaluation, not a blanket rejection without any thought on the matter.
