Posted by Frankie Fox Thaddeus was a Greek religious scholar resposible for spreading christianity to the East and bearers of this name are held in high esteem in Armenia so I intend to take my wee cub out to Yerevan to see if he will get freedom of the City. Spread the good news of this ancient biblical name

Thady can be a derivative of either Thaddeus, of Greek origin, or as often the case in Ireland it can be a pet name for Timothy. I love it and named my son Thady after one of my mum's favourite uncles, Thady Cullinane from the rebel county, Cork.
since I'm fed up explaining to parents with off springs ranging from Chelsea to Trixie-bell, that Thady is not a made up name.
