Just a wee correction of a pronunciation on this site. This has been a family name for a long, long time and is now my mother's name and a cousin's name, all born and residing in Scotland. It is not pronounced 'Katrina' as has been stiuplated here. As far back as I can remember, it has been pronounced "Ca-tree'-uh-nuh" with the emphasis on the second syllable.
