Scottish translation of Wendy

I'm trying to find out a Scottish Gaelic version of Wendy. I know that Wendy was derived from a nickname meaning "friend", or sometimes as a pet name for Gwendolyn. I cannot find a Scottish version of Gwendolyn, and I'm not sure how to make the word for friend (banacharaid) into a name, if that is even possible.
Help is appreciated!
