Demolition Derby. It came down to Kurt Goeddeke, Evan Nelson and Rick Wishard.
Goeddeke and Wishard ganged up on Nelson and eliminated him. Nelson would take
3rd place. Goeddeke and Wishard then put on a spirited battle for the win. At
the end, Wishard was the last man standing and took home the win.
Kids Costume contest.
Saturday with the re-scheduled final day of the 40th Annual National Short Track
Championship presented by Chicago International Truck. The CRA Super Series
250-lap feature, ASA Late Model Series 100-lap feature, Mid-American 75-lap
feature and the Mid-American Truck 30-lap feature will highlight the event.
Along with crowning the NSTC champions, each Series will also be crowning their
Season Champion as well. The racing action begins at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are on
sale now at the track office by calling (815) 633-1500 or visit the track's
website at www.rockfordspeedway.com.
