get to the front. At the end of the first lap she was up to fifth. By lap 2,
she was up to second and on the next lap, she takes the lead. Jester followed
Dobbs and began to challenge for the lead on lap 6. Dobbs was able to hold off
Jester. Jester than got behind Dobbs and started to bump her in the rear. With
five laps to go, Jester bumped Dobbs in the middle of turns three and four. The
bump caused Dobbs to make hard contact with the turn three and four wall. Dobbs
did manage to keep her car going. NASCAR Officials black-flagged Jester for
rough driving. This handed the lead over to Shonna Frisch. Frisch would go on
to the win and also the overall win.
Mayberry captured his third straight win. Mayberry had some problems in the
second feature event.
Jim Dougherty had a strong car in the second feature. On lap 4, "The Sheriff"
Chris Gantz went to the outside to challenge for the lead. Dougherty didn?t know
that the Gantz was on the outside and Gantz hit the outside wall. Dougherty was
sent to the rear. This gave the lead over to Pat Smith. But it didn't take long
for Dougherty to come for the rear back to the front. Dougherty grabbed the lead
with two laps to go to take home the win.
Chad Kiefer challenged for the top spot. On lap 6, Kiefer got on the inside for
the top spot. But a caution for debris allowed Foster to grab the lead back
after the standing re-start. Foster would not be contested as he went on to the
win.
