BUSY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AT ROCKFORD By: Kevin Ramsell Tuesday, May 17, 2005 (Loves Park, IL) ? Rockford Speedway has a full weekend of events planned for the 2005 Memorial Day weekend. It will have something for everyone. The weekend activities will start on Friday, May 27th with ?Friday Fright Night!? This won?t be your typical Rockford Speedway program. It will be a night of thrills, spills, and stunts. The program will feature the Big Dawg Monster Truck, Burning Steel Wall Crash, the Voo Doo Street Xtreme Motorcycles, School Bus Race, Roll Over contest, Figure 8 Train Race, Hornets, Figure 8?s, and Spectacular Drags. The program will start at 7:07 p.m. Get there early to get a great seat. The NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series returns on Saturday, May 28th with Armed Forces Night sponsored by 3M. All active/retired military will be admitted FREE with valid identification. The racing program will be starting at 7:07 p.m. featuring the NASCAR Late Models, Grand Nationals, Budweiser American Short Trackers, and Coca Cola RoadRunners. The weekend of activities will close out on Monday, May 30 with ?Monday Funday.? The racing program will begin at 12:30 p.m. featuring the Fastor Pastor Race, RoadRunners, RoadRunner Challenge, Figure 8?s, Winged Women on Wheels, Hornets, Legends, Bandoleros, Super Cup, Formula Indy (FIRA) and Spectacular Drags.
