Mid-Am Super Trucks Come to MIS
by John Wells
Oregon, WI (May 8, 2005)
This Friday night at Madison International Speedway will feature Round One of the Mid-Am Super Truck Triple Crown Series. "We are expecting a great turnout of trucks for this event. Now that the rules between the Rockweiler Insulation Midwest Trucks and Mid Am Super Trucks are compatible things are really looking good. The Triple Crown is kind of like a series within a series," noted MIS promoter Steve Einhaus. The other two Triple Crown events for the trucks will be on July 8 and September 2.
This Friday night will be Nextel / Radcom Wireless Night at MIS. It is also Boy/Girl Scout Night. Scouts and Leaders in uniform are admitted for free. In addition to the trucks, action will also take place in the Weaver Auto Parts ASA Late Models, Bryden Motors Super Late Models, and Bryden Motors Area Sportsman. A Triple Crown Series will also take place in 2005 for the Mid American Stock Car Series. The Mid Am cars will be at MIS on May 20, July 15, and August 5.
Pit gates open every Friday at 4:00 with hot laps at 5:15, qualifying at 6:30 and racing at 8:00.
Madison International Speedway is located between Oregon and Stoughton, off of Hwy 138. For more information please contact the track office at 608.835.9700 or check out our website at madisoninternationalspeedway.com.
