Reffner, of Stevens Point, WI, won by two car lengths over Beebe, from nearby Olathe, KS. Reffner took the lead on lap 18 with Beebe on his rear bumper. Beebe slipped inside of Reffner for a portion of one lap midway through the event, but could never establish himself in the top position. ASL rookie Jaret Johnson of ElCajon, CA and brother of NASCAR Nextel Cup point leader Jimmy Johnson was right on Beebe's tail with a very strong performance on the high banked half-mile. Florida short track star Jay Middleton and Indianapolis, IN driver and fast qualifier Peter Cozzolino rounded out the top five. Former ASA National Tour regular Greg Stewart of Four Oak, NC was sixth followed by Ryan Mathes of Lake Geneva, WI, Trevor Stewart of St. Cloud, MN, Paul Paine of Mound, MN and John Vig Jr of Shakopee, MN. The ASL drivers move on to Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids, IA Wednesday night, June 8.
