Big 8 Drivers Prepare for Madison on May 1 Loves Park, IL- Entries continue to arrive daily for the second stop on the Big 8 Series which will take place on Sunday afternoon May 1 at Madison International Speedway. Over twenty entries have been filed including those of Big 8 Series point leader Mike Beyer, 2004 Norway Speedway Champion Kris Kelly, Rockford Speedway Point Leader Bobby Wilberg and Tony Bagstad who currently sits third in the point standings at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway. The Big 8 Series attracted 35 entries during the Spring Classic event at Rockford Speedway and series officials expect strong car counts for the Madison event as well. "We have had a lot of interest in the series and our phones have been busy, I know it will be a great event at Madison." Commented Big 8 Series Race Director Tom Powell. The Wisconsin Challenge Series will headline the afternoon event in the Miller Lite 100 with appearances by Dick Trickle, Rich Bickle and Todd Kluever. The Big 8 Series Late Models will compete in a 38 lap feature event. Pit gates are scheduled to open at 10am, Spectator gates open and practice begins at noon, qualifying at 1:30 and racing at 3:30.
