Busch GN driver Jeff Streeter to run
for American Stockcar League title
Chowchilla, CA has announced plans to pursue the title in the American
Stockcar League beginning at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, MO Saturday night,
April 30..
` Streeter has competed in 15 Busch Grand National events. He led
the ARCA Series points, at age 17, in 1997 for a good part of the
season. His team, however, was forced to withdraw from the series due
to the lack of sponsors.
In 1998 Streeter finished 15th in the NASCAR Winston West Series.
His team for the summer of 2005 will be based in Vinton, IA. He
will drive the S & S Crop Dusting Monte Carlo. Streeter is a
three-time San Jose, CA Karting Club champion and has done some racing
in the IMCA Midified divsion.
"We aiming to be at the first race April 30 at I-70 Speedway and
we'll attempt to make all of them," said team owner Steve Streeter,
Jeff's father. "We've had a lot of practice time at Hawkeye Downs and
are happy to see two ASL races will be run there. Chas Howe has given
us a lot of help. We've actually got one complete car and another
under construction," The team owner continued.
