Yellow Book USA Mid-American Stock Car Series head to Lake Geneva Raceway Oct. 2-3 LAKE GENEVA, WI -- The Yellow Book USA Mid-American Stock Car Series heads to the Lake Geneva Raceway Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 2-3 for the division's second last race of the 2004 season. Qualifying runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday for the multi-division racing program on the one-third mile paved oval. Racing begins at 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. The 45-lap feature race for the Mid-American cars will contain the top 16 qualifiers, top four in series points not in the top 16 qualifying group, and the top four from a 15-lap last chance race. Peter Hernandez of Mokena, Il leads the series point standings with 1,954 followed by Jeremy Miller of Rockton, IL with 1,852 and Bobby Gutknecht of Oak Creek, WI with 1,844. Miller is coming off a win in the most recent series feature race at the National Short Track Championships in Rockford, Il where he won a 75-lap main event.
