Russ Scheffler won the nights feature with Brett Seivert second, but Rhyne reaped the top honors with Shawn Tozcek in the runnerup spot. In the Open-Wheel Modifieds, Phil Line notched his first season championship in 19 years of racing, beating out Bill Davis, who has devoted more than 40 years to the sport. In the nights main event, Tony Roland held off Dave Porth on the highside and then fought off a low-side challenge from runnerup Terry Hull. In the Street Stock Division, Bob McLean won his seventh season championship, holding off runnerup Jay Hamilton and a handful of other challengers, from veteran Bill Wise to newcomer Steve Dimmick. In the nights feature event, Kevin Lenzen took home another win. In the Mini-Stock Dvision, Karl Hayes captured the season title, but newcomer Tony Littrel showed why he may be heard from in next years points race. He won the feature in just his second night at the track. The Oct. 2 program will feature a $2,000 prize for each of the winners from the Late Model and the Street Stock features.
