New Promoter Named At MIS
Speedway,announced today that Stephen Einhaus has been
hired as the new promoter of the racing facility
located near Oregon, Wisconsin.
experience in the racing business primarily in the
Chicagoland, and brings to MIS unbridled enthusiasm
and a commitment to excellence. A chemical operator
and fire chief by trade, he has helped lead his
brother's team to three track championships,
developeda fire and safety team capable of handling
any worst case scenario, and most recently has been
promoting at the Grundy County Speedway in Morris,
Illinois.
"Terry Kunes has given me the biggest opportunity
of my life to promote MIS. I have an extreme amount
of energy and dedication to getting the job done
because I am a perfectionist," said Einhaus.
"He(Kunes) lives for the sport. I am just lucky
enough to be the one to help him be successful in
living out his dream."
Einhaus has big plans for Wisconsin's fastest
half-mile paved oval in 2005. "I plan to meet with
all of the area promoters, series owners, and tech
officials to pull everyone together so we can get
things back to the way they used to be. I plan to
visit over 100 drivers personally this winter to hear
their ideas, concerns, and to let them know I am there
to promote them, their teams, their sponsors, and
their fans, " added Einhaus. His most recent efforts
at Grundy County Speedway have produced record number
car counts and two of the most successful events in
track history, the Twin 100's and the Appleton
Memorial.
Einhaus made one prediction for 2005: "Success
comes from satisfaction, hard work, and the ability to
take care of the people that support you(racers,
fans,sponsors). With that being said, I predict the
most successful season in MIS history in 2005."
Kunes also announced the MIS managment team for
2005. Dave Grueneberg will once again be serving as
Director of Race Operations and Facility Maintenance.
Serving as Administrative Manager will be Jeanne Brown
with Diane Wells as Administrative Assistant. Aleah
Cerniglia has been hired as the Manager of Marketing
and Advertising. John Wells and Mike Cerniglia will
coordinate Public Relations and Media Communications.
It was also announced that the speedway, which
will be returing to Friday night racing in 2005, will
see all three of its current racing divisions return
next season: ASA Late Models, Super Late Models, and
Midwest Trucks. Plans are being finalized on
additional racing divisions that will join the weekly
program.
