ROCKFORD SPEEDWAY JOINS LAPAWARDS.COM By: Kevin Ramsell Thursday, March 09, 2006 (Loves Park, IL) - Rockford Speedway Officials have announced a partnership with LapAwards.com, LapAwards.com is designed to give any race fan, sponsor, or manufacturer the opportunity to sponsor a lap at selected major short track racing events. Fans, sponsors, and manufacturers will have the opportunity to sponsor a lap for the WCS 150, Big 8 Series 58, and the Mid-American 50 at the 29th Annual Spring Classic on April 1-2. Laps 1, 75, and 150 are available for a sponsorship fee of $50 while the other laps are available for $25. The award will be announced and published not only on the LapAwards.com website but at the Rockford Speedway before and during the 150 lap event on Sunday, April 2nd. The sponsorship will be awarded to the driver leading on the lap you specify. Anyone can go to www.lapawards.com and register today for the lap they would like to sponsor. "This is a great way for anyone to get involved and help support this event," Gregg McKarns, Rockford Speedway General Manager stated. "For anyone who ever wanted the opportunity to support a huge race event, but could never afford it, here is an opportunity be a part of your favorite racing event." The 29th Annual Spring Classic will take place on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2nd. The Wisconsin Challenge Series will compete in a 150-lap main event. The Big 8 Series feature event will take place on Saturday night. The WCS 150 and the Mid-American 75 will highlight the action on Sunday, April 2nd.
