
Posted by S&T Promotions on 3/6/2006, 11:40 am Vendors from throughout the Midwest will display their wares, offering area race fans a wide variety of auto racing memorabilia and collectibles for their examination and purchase. The show will feature photos, plastic models, speedway programs and yearbooks, newspapers, magazines, die cast cars, trading cards and much more. In addition to the memorabilia and collectibles part of the show, the event has become a meeting place for numerous former area racing drivers and champions to gather and talk about the "good old days of racing" with fellow former competitors and long time fans, even signing an autograph or two. The show will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with admission being $4.00 for adults and children, 12 and under, admitted free. The Chicagoland Speedway is located three miles south of Interstate 80. Joliet, Ill. Seemingly bringing down the curtain on winter and signaling that auto racing is about to begin in these parts, the 15th annual Chicagoland Auto Racing Memorabilia and Collectibles Show will take place at Joliet's Chicagoland Speedway this Sunday, March 12. The garage area of the famed speedway will be the site of this year's event.
