It was built in the winter of 02-03 to be run in the Midwest Sportsman Championship Series and some Mid-Am shows. It was built by Brandon Norris and Randy Aubart. They had cut apart and rebuilt a few Sontag and Perfomance Unlimited cars which went on to see great success. The car was built with a true 'X' in the frame which you don't see very often. It is a SONTAG copy.
The car has been raced mostly at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL. Also raced at Rockford, Lake Geneva and Slinger in the MSCS series.
This car won the National Short Track Championship at Rockford that fall in the Mid Am Division. It ran 3rd at Road America that year also.
The Mooi family then purchased the car and ran it for 2 years. The car ran up front with a few feature and heat wins also a few fast times.
I purchased and raced the car in 2007 and finished 5th in points, won 1 feature, a couple heat races and won "Rookie of the Year" in my first season in a "full body" car.
In 2008 with 5 races I had 1 feature win and the rest were up front also!
NEED TO MOVE THIS.... NEED SOME ROOM IN THE GARAGE.
