The teachers are very strict and you have to be aware that the actual asana work is only a fraction of the spiritual training. You'll have more lessons on chanting, Hindu philosophy and meditation than any physical yoga. If you've been doing yoga for about 2 years you should be OK in the yoga classes...there are supervisors as well as the main teacher. I found it to be adequate. In fact I felt we sometimes got too much correction.
It's not for everyone, because it's very intense and you meet a lot of people but the support I got from the swamis was fantastic and although it was tough I got a lot out of the experience and I made some great friends.
