In my experience, working with premature babies is such a delicate matter that I would only get involved if the parents contacted me directly. Sometimes one or other of the parents would come for a treatment first, to get to know me and then I may be asked to go to the baby unit. As a reiki healer, you never get sent anything you can't handle, and as you continue healing and treating others you become stronger and stronger in yourself and can handle more complex situations. So I am sure you will be placed in the right place at the right time to help others who are going through similar problems. As healers,we just have to trust that the Universe will give the best outcome to all concerned. This is true of all intensive cases. I have witnessed some miraculous healings with all kinds of chronic cases, where reiki was used alongside medical treatment. However, we must remember that sometimes the outcome may be to help the client to have a more comfortable time in passing to the next life. This is not something I have had experience in, but is something I am sure I will have to go through as I continue on this path. I also have to watch my ego when it comes to great results, and remember that it wasn't me that "cured" the client, but that I was just a channel for the Divine, in the form of reiki healing. BTW, in Hindi, 'Prem' means Love! I hope this helps all the best
