We're scared of being happy and being healed. We're just not used to it. So you will always come across people who will doubt your abilities as a healer, who will doubt reiki, who will doubt anything to do with healing. Believe me, I've come across LOTS of people like this, some within the healing community, sometimes from very close friends. Maybe your friend is reflecting your own doubts. I know it's hard, but just get on with being a healer in whatever way feels right for you, whether you charge money, use exchanges or just give it for free, you can only judge for yourself. I would just be wary of advice from friends, relatives or even partners, who do not understand healing work or say their healing or teaching is better. Think about what do they have to gain from stopping you or making you feel uncomfortable. Don't let their fears or jealously affect you! take care and keep up the good work.
Thanks for your message, Carol. Sometimes people ask me, "reiki is so magical and really works so why aren't we using in schools and hospitals, why isn't it on the news, why isn't everyone doing it?"
You just have to be strong and continue all your good work.
love rifa
