In the Osho Zen Tarot this card is called Aloneness, which is a perfect description of the archetype for Saturn which is The Senex, The Old Man. Osho's words speak of the lesson to be learnt: "When you are alone you are not alone, you are simply lonely — and there is a tremendous difference between loneliness and aloneness. When you are lonely you are thinking of the other, you are missing the other. Loneliness is a negative state. You are feeling that it would have been better if the other was there — your friend, your wife, your mother, your beloved, your husband. It would have been good if the other was there, but the other is not. Loneliness is absence of the other. Aloneness is the presence of oneself. Aloneness is very positive. It is a presence, overflowing presence. You are so full of presence that you can fill the whole universe with your presence and there is no need for anybody." Saturn in our birth charts represents what we crave, yet what we feel most inadequate about. It's something we feel has been denied us, but it was the very thing that we have come to learn about and give to others. It's what we must master in our lives if we are to be successful. Dane Rudyar, an esteemed astrologer and renaissance man of the 20th century said that the real essence of individuality is Saturn because it's the one thing which is ours because we have to earn it. The Sun represents our gifts which are God given. Saturn is the seventh planet and it's cycles are every seven years. Seven is a very spiritual number and at its highest vibration Saturn is the most spiritual planet. To work with the energy of Saturn is to help others, to reach out to the old and poor, to the community. It's also vital to bring structure into your life, to file and organise your life. It might be boring but it's very grounding. with love, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- email: pam@healingstars.com Link: http://www.healingstars.com

Dear Rifa,
I've just delivered a talk on Saturn and have been engrossed in research over the last month on this planet and its energies. Saturn is about delay, depression, old age, chronic illness, worry, debt. It blocks progress. These aren't good qualities so Saturn is seen as the bad guy in astrology. And that's true, but Saturn also has good qualities. It teaches us about non attachment and truth. Delay can be positive if it makes us revise and correct mistakes. Saturn also governs structure, grounding, business, responsibility, stability, endurance and commitment.
Whatever you do, take time out this weekend to focus on making better choices for a positive future and for happiness. Then this month can truly mark a turning point in your life.
