For me so many friends have been laid low or have been travelling it feels like the year really started with the first new moon on January 29th. I've been to India - my first time- and have come back rejuvenated and with visions in my mind of stunning sunsets and beautiful people. Been feeling attacked? Mid-month the war is over! Self attack is insidious and this astrologer puts her hand up to this one. One of the ego's best tricks, self attack puts us in the victim position, plus it attacks those around us who love us. And so friends can duck out of sight or even disappear from our lives. Self attack is a trap and it blocks true leadership - which is answering the calls for help. When we move towards others instead of remaining caught in our self attack, when we remember that we've come to help humanity rather than be part of the problem, then the ego loses and the higher mind wins. Mars moves into Gemini on February 18th, where it stays for approx six weeks. Once it no longer opposes Jupiter the righteousness will cease. This will greatly relieve Jupiter to bring in much needed wise counsel and - in its role as Ganesha - help remove obstacles in our world. Venus moves forward -relationships and money improve Since Venus has been hanging out in practical, business like Capricorn this is a good time to get serious about your business.

This month is a turning point with the planets of love/money and passion/war highlighted. Mars changes sign and Venus moves direct once more. Expect a radical shift in your relationships for the better and focus on the beauty that is your soul.
News of the month has to be that (at last) Mars changes sign. Six months in Taurus has been tough, especially since it's been making such 'challenging' (as astrologers like to phrase it!), aspects to Neptune, Saturn and Jupiter. These are powerful gods!
They're all in fixed signs, which means a stubborn refusual to change. This tension has been the planetary explanation for all the attack and self attack that has been going on since last July.
This planet of love and money goes direct on February 3rd. This is excellent news for all Venusians! For that read women and relationships with women.
I've heard of many relationship problems where women have suddenly left, leaving their partners heartbroken and bewildered. Now Venus moves forward there might well be contact again and lovers being reunited.
