That's the first thing the forest service people will look for. 2. I'm not 100% sure on this. Steve or someone else will know for sure, but I think that any large organised ride will need to register with the forest service. Permits and all that good stuff you know. 3. Much of the 2-day is ridden on private property located within the NF so it's not open the rest of the year. Most of the national DS rides don't have the 100 rider limit like this event. I've attended the one in Ohio numerous times and never pre-entered or anything. Show up, pay your money, and ride. I personally think your best bet would be Chadwick. While it is used by everone, you pay a small fee and ride all week. There are hundreds of trails over there. If one of the local riders would attend I'm sure there are lots of the trails that are used for the enduro that could be ridden if they would just show you where they are. Good luck!!!!!!!
I don't know of any GPS maps. Wish I did!
The MTRA has worked for years with both the FS and local charities which helps when applying for the permits.
Keep posting on KtmTalk about your progress with an event like this. I wouldn't mind attending myself.
