Posted by Hywel On Tuesday the 24th of June @ 19:00 in the Lifeguard Station there will be a training course on the VHF radio comms run by the Coastguard. All seniors and older juniors are invited to attend, please let Hywel know if you will be there. This course will be essential to all professionals and those who will be patrolling members / providing assistance for incidents. We are going to have a radio that can monitor the coastguard frequency and in the medium term be able to transmit on this frequency. On Wednesday the 2nd of July @ 17:30 there will be a joint exercise with us, the Coastguard and the RNLI. We will be staging several scenarios and testing how well we are able to co-ordinate our efforts. This will all take place on Rest Bay. Two events have been set up to give us some extra skills and improve further the excellent team work between the RNLI, Coastguard and us as a Lifeguard Club.
