Posted by Chavyboy on 1/8/2002, 10:39 am The only fix I found was after you use the air-con run turn if off and then just run the heater for a minute of so to dry up the condensing unit. --Previous Message--
This was a common one one Pug 206's. Turned out to be bacteria growing on the Air-con condenser due to when you turn it off the Air-con unit cools down and condensation is formed on it thus allowing bacteria to grow.
: Only a thought, but my Laguna had similar,
: turned out to be a leak from the heater
: matrix and water from the engine came into
: the interior. (wet under carpet on
: passenger side).
: Check to see if your coolant levels are ok -
: if you are down regularly, you could be
: losing water somewhere and it is this that
: you can smell.
: Probably not your problem - but you never
: know.
