I have been run through the mill at Vanderbilt. The first thing they did was change my hormone therapy because tamoxifen wasn't working. They also did a bone biopsy which came back negative. The oncologist says the lesion may have been too small to get an accurate sample, but they are going to proceed aggressively and do a right breast mastectomy and remove my ovaries. I feel like there is a little hope now, and am so greatful I let the doctors at Vanderbilt take over my treatment plan.
