Yes Ruby, I go for MRI on Monday and see my Onc. on Thursday for results. I have already asked him to set me up an appointment at Vanderbilt. It is about a 2 hour drive. I mainly just want their opinion that my treatment team here is accessing up to date treatment procedures. I'm concerned because even though I was stage III and had 2 large tumors (1 in breast and 1 in lymph node), a mastectomy was never even discussed. Now, after just 6 months, the cancer has recurred in the same breast and a mastectomy is still not being mentioned. He also said if the cancer had spread to the bones that I had less than 5 years to live. I think that is out of date statistics.
