PET/CT Scan

Results showed 3 spots on my abdomen and another on my right shoulder blade. Oncologist thinks the cancer has metastasized to the bone. MRI scheduled for Monday to confirm that. How long can someone live with bone mets? My youngest son is only 6. I would like to see him grow up. What is the treatment for bone mets?
