Hi Caroline, sorry your Mom has had to deal with this 3 times.
I've had it 2 times,had double mastectomy(lumpectomy 1st time with Chemo/Radiation with Femara) and finished Chemo this time in Dec. 2011. I'm on Aromasin right now- the Onc said that Femara wasn't working for me but I had read that Femara wasn't the best for breast cancer.
It was less than 2 years between the first time and second time getting breast cancer for me.
I had heard about it being under the arm and not being able to do surgery before..could have been on this site or in the CURE magazine(it's free and you choose what type of cancer you have and get the updates on research-Very good magazine)
