Hi,
I'm hoping I can get some advice. My mom has just been diagnosed with BC - 3rd time. 1st time was in 1993, very early, lumpectomy, with no spread to lymph nodes. 2nd occurrence was in 2001, again, early, 1cm, removal with lumpectomy, and radiation. This time, it is 1.2cm, but high up under arm, mammogram would NOT have caught it, (SCARY)......they are saying they can not operate because it is involved with too many nerves, etc. Right now she is on Femara, and trying to see if she can have some more radiation, and if not chemo. This is I believe Stage 3, and called a local recurrence. CT Scan and Bonescans are clear, no spread to anywhere else. Has anyone heard of this, and had any success getting rid of it? Would love to hear from people who have experienced this? thanks, Caroline
