Hmmm Kelly, At the end of appropriate treatment of cancer patients they are declared NED (no evidence of disease) if via subjective and objective symptoms and any testing results that is so. I have not heard of the term "cure" used in such a situation. The diagnostic measures and subsequent treatments in the care of cancer are so significantly changing that it is difficult to project a prognosis with terms such as "cure" and "terminal". Neither apply (in my opinion) as to prognosis currently. You are so right Kelly it does depend on how the individual responds to treatment and even then treatment is adjusted to meet the needs of any new change at the cell level. The prognosis re it all is good!
Now Kelly let's get packing
for that visit with family.
Love ya,
Peg
