Hi Ladies,
I thought I would be celebrating 3 years NED this month but not to be. I have not been on here for the last 2 years but took great comfort from this site and all the helpful ladies for the first year after being diagonsed with stage 2b, er/pr+,HER- in Oct 08. I had 2 positive nodes and 9 negative, took the oncotype test, low score so did 30 rounds of radiation then onto tamoxifen.
Anyway in Sep for an unrelated symptom I had a CT scan where they found liver mets. Since then I have had an MRI, liver biopsy, PET scan and another CT. We now know I have over 10 lesions in liver, lymph nodes involved outside of the liver, mets to L1 vertebra, pelvic bone, and left femur.
We are on vacation this week but see the onc next Monday when he plans to put me on Xeloda.
Through reading the boards I have not been able to find anyone else on Xeloda. Is there anyone who can let me know how they are doing or have done on Xeloda?
Any words of encouragement as I start this new journey? The first go-round I was not that upset as I felt breast cancer was beatable. Now of course at stage 4 not so accepting.
Thanks for listening.
