3 1/2 yrs. ago I was diagnosed with Her2+. Google "herceptin" - the co. that produces the "drug" has a very informational video and good info. I had 3 small tumors, each under 1cm; so I was diagnosed very early. My oncologist fought this aggressively with chemo and then radiation along with a year of monthly Herceptin infusions. With all of that, I finally got a "port" so I wouldn't have to have all the infusions through the vein in my arm - really good decision. I would spend all afternoon in the treatment room. Had very little side effects until the 5th and 6 th Chemo. Then I was given a shot 24 hrs. after the infusion to help build up red cells (can't recall the name at this moment) - wonderful stuff! Hope this helps.
