I was dx'd in 1996 with stage 3 DCI with 8 of 11 nodes pos. I had a mastectomy with no recon because they wanted to start chemo asap. Started with chemo, thenstem cell transplant, rads and 5 years of Tamoxifen. Re dx'd in oct 2010.with mets to bones, both legs, hips, spine, some ribs and left arm. Broke the left arm and that's how we discovered the beast was back. I can't give you advice on recon but I can tell you in my opinion and it's only my opinion and may not be right for you. Do everything in your power now to beat it. Be INSISTANT about yearly scans not just bloodwork. My bloodwork was fine and after my 10 yr mark scans weren't necessary. Yeah right! I may have been able to battle this before it was in so many of my bones. Take care and good luck.
