Do everything you can to fight it now. That's my opinion. I was dx'd in 1996 with recurrence in 2010. INSIST on yearly scans not just blood work. Mine was "normal" until I broke my arm last oct and found mets to spine, legs,.ribs, hips and the left arm. I did not have recon on total mastectomy in 96'. They wanted to start chemo right away. Had a stem cell transplant, rads and 5 yrs Tamoxifen. Good luck and big hugs Deborah
