HER2+ Drug study

My oncologist at Illinois Cancer Care is part of a Lapatnib drug study. I will be taking Taxol and Herceptin once a week for 12 weeks. Then I will bump down to Herceptin every 3 weeks for 40 weeks.

For this year, I will be taking the lapatnib orally once per day.

The Lapatnib crosses the blood/brain barrier.

I just wanted to tell you about this study. It is only available if you are 6 or less weeks out from first chemo. Let me know if you would like more information.
