Been in and out of hospital.

Long and short of it is that I have been put into remission but to get there I have been in and out of the hospital. I am on taxotere as a maintenance chemo to keep me in remission...that literally kicked my feet from under me (taking it at half strength) and spent another 5 days in the hospital. I have received 8 units of blood over the past several months, iron by iv and generally having a wonderful time. No, chemo is not going smoothly for me this time around. I am armed with an arsenal of pain and nausea drugs for my next infusion of taxotere with the prayers that it works and keeps the yucks away. This is not a game for sissies.
