Hi Barb,
Sorry that I am so pokey in answering your post....but most importantly how are you doing on your new meds? I am sorry that you are going through it all once again. In checking clinical trials I did come across a phase 3 study re TDMI. It can be found at :
cancernews.word/press.com/2008/12/10/tdmI
You may have already seen this information. It sounds exciting since TDMI combines Herceptin (trastuzamab)a monocloclonal antibody that targets the Her2neu overexpression "cells". When combined with Maytansine a chemo the targeting is much more efficient and with less side effects. The research that is being done is AWESOME. Incidentally to check into other clinical trials....NCI National Cancer Institute and ACS...American Cancer Society. I find the ACS site more "user friendly". I would love to hear how this is all working out for you. My dx was in April of 2006 and Her2neu+. So far so good but my pathology report numbers were high for recurrence...grrrr.
Sending prayers that you will find the right combo treatment that stamps out those ca cells.
Hugs,
Peg
