Pain Pills?

Dear Ladies,
I'm writing to try to understand the issue of pain management a bit better. I am a caregiver for my sister who is considered stage IV. She has had some pain relief using oxycodone but I think she is getting to the point of needing to up her dose or make a change. If anyone is willing to share their experience with pain pills, I would like to hear, just to know how others transition from one level to the next. Thank you.
