her2 and mastectomy

I was recently diagnosed with her2 breast cancer, and I'd like to know, given the likelyhood of reoccurance, if any of you have had a proph. mastectomy? This is a very new diagnosis, treatment hasn't been discussed, that comes on this Tuesday and Thursday. Any help or thoughts prior to going in would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to be informed, and right now I don't think I like my breasts enough to keep them. How do I tell my oncologist that?
