Lady Di-
G o d B l e s s Y o u, another Nurse! My sister is also a nurse. Most of her career was spent in critical care. She told me when she was diagnosed that she's seen too much, she knows what's coming. Still, she's been a better patient than I think I could EVER be. She's been so strong in putting up with everything.
Carrie is triple negative, have you had many triple negative patients? If so, could you give me your two cents on the chemo's they've received? So far she's gotten Avastin, Abraxane and Carboplatin. We are pretty sure now that she's developed the PE, that she will not be able to continue the Avastin. (blood thinning side affects, etc.) She is going to her doc appt tomorrow to find out the next chemo regimen. She has had good results in getting rid of her mets with these drugs, so understandably, she's nervous about having to switch. But, she doesn't have a choice. Any comments you may have are very welcome.
Thank you for writing and caring enough to share your knowledge with us-
