I also am on chemo indefinitely. I have been on it for about 5 1/2 years. I am currently on a break and taking aromasin. I have been on this for about 6 months and will probably go back to chemo with my next set of scans. I am sure there will be some progression someplace. I haven't changed my oncologist's plan because I don't know how I would and so far quality of life has not been bad. I like everyone else have good days and bad days. Sometimes I wonder if I am doing as much as I can, but just the fact that I am here and get to see my family is enough to make me happy. Any pain I have is pretty much controlled. It seems to be diversified. I have neurothapy in my hands and feet from so much chemo and just today have an apt with my onc because i think i have shingles - yuck. With my recurrence I had several small tumors on my chest wall and that was all. Chemo seems to take care of them for a bit, but they eventually come back and we start the process all over again. I will pray that things continue to go well for your sister. Peace & grace
