Hi Janis,
Calcium deposits are not an uncommon occurrence in breast tissue. It is when the configuration and distribution of deposits changes that further testing is required. When the scattered deposits are clustered into a tight configuration that is when biopsy is usually done. It sounds like your doctor is being cautious and hooray for him/her. If something is going on it will be dealt with for early success. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
