Hi, my name is Janis and right now I have to admit that I have butterflies in my stomach just wondering what this could mean so I'm turning to you guys for answers...I had breast cancer almost ten years ago and had to have a mastectomy along with 16 weeks of chemo. I just went yesterday to have my diagnostic mammogram and the radiologist had the nurse take some extra x-rays because of some calcium deposits which had become larger since last year. He wants me to see my surgeon and have a biopsy done...usually he lets the patient wait six months to redo the x-ray but because of my cancer history, he doesn't want to wait. Last time, I had an actual lump but I don't know what to make of this since he called them calcium deposits...should I be overly concerned? I know that sounds like a dumb question but it's a totally different situation this time since it's not a lump...I appreciate any help you could offer on this and my surgeon appt is on the 18th of this month.
