Just an update on my vaccine experience . . .
We went Wednesday for my 9th vaccine. When I explained to my onc that on day 3 after #8 it was really red, big (7x6 inch) welt and hot and itchy still, so I cooled it off with cool water in the shower. That brought out the #6 area on my arm. "Oh, YES! we have seen that! It means that the immune system is pulling into places outside the vaccine site." My onc was so excited she gave me a high five then apologized and cleansed her hands! I don't see much going on with tumor marker numbers or in the reduction of pleural fluid build up, but she was excited that the vaccine seemes to be doing something. I still draw off 500 -800 ml of fluid every 2-3 days. My breathing is much, much better and I am so thrilled to be able to do the drawing off at home. My dh is quite proficient at it now. It is all good news I think, but don't stop praying.
Love and prayers for you all, too.
Anne
