Hi gals,
I don't get over to this board much but I wanted to let all y'all know about this program, in case anyone qualified or was interested.......it was in my paper this morning and sounds more promising to me than current treatments.
I'll jes quote it, they write betta than me anyway
:
"MOBILE, Ala. - Local doctors hope a new cancer therapy developed in Mobile labs will successfully suppress advanced breast cancer in patients for whom all other treatments have failed.
Twenty-five women who are battling terminal breast cancer are needed to volunteer for a first-of-its-kind FDA-monitored clinical trial beginning as soon as next month at the Southern Cancer Center in Mobile.
After more than 30 years of research and development by scientists at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, this immunotherapeutic vaccine technology has recently been approved for testing in humans."
So, sounds like it's chancy but for anyone who wants to pioneer and isn't having good results from their treatments or options are running out, this might be the ticket. I'm sure if you're interested, I can find out more, get contact info, etc.
I'll check back with all y'all. Meantime, please know that you're in my thoughts. I know some of you occasionally pop over to the grief board and I see you there and on the main board. It's great to see you.
Hopey
